The toolband.dll process is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module distributed with other modular DLL component resources, some executable program files, certain SYS driver files, specific background process items and various associated components that are used and referenced by the Lexmark Toolbar software. This is a Windows program classified as a printer driver software component that was developed by Lexmark for some of its printer device models, and the Lexmark Toolbar application is integrated with a set of features that can allow the associated Lexmark printers to correctly perform its queued printing tasks upon user request. The toolband.dll file is placed in the system upon the configuration of the Lexmark Toolbar application, which is done upon the installation of the firmware distributions and driver software packages of the associated Lexmark printing device. This means the toolband.dll file and th Lexmark Toolbar software together with its component resources are integrated into the installer distributions of these Lexmark firmware and driver software packages.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. toolband.dll. is used by Lexmark Printer Toolbar, If you shut down toolband.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop toolband.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Printer Toolbar, from your system.
