What is  tfun.exe

Also known as ThreatFire Update Engine, the tfun.exe process is an executable file that is part of the program ThreatFire, which is created and digitally signed (VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2) by PC Tools. ThreatFire is a type of a security program, featuring an advanced patent-pending technology, that does not rely on signatures, but rather diagnoses and examines the behavior of the computer to detect any malicious activities, and later block or prevent them from damaging the system, as well as infecting other programs or files in it. It does protect the computer, including the processes and applications, from viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, and other dangerous files. This also does not require a user to update the application whenever a new threat is detected or has occurred, and that’s what the file process tfun.exe does. It constantly monitors the computer activity to scan and hunt down any threats it detects.
