The tfsndres.sys file is a system process included with the DLL modules, other SYS driver files, executable program files and associated components that are required by the Sonic DLA software, which is a Windows program classified as a multimedia authoring tool designed by Sonic Solutions with a set of features for dragging, dropping and burning files and folders unto CDs and DVDs among other supported optical media types. The tfsndres.sys process is specifically deployed with the Sonic DLA application as one of the components used by the Drive Letter Access Component module and the Direct Access Component module, which are small applications built into the Sonic DLA software. The tfsndres.sys process is bundled with the installer distributions of the Sonic DLA program, which means the tfsndres.sys file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Sonic DLA application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tfsndres.sys. is used by Sonic DLA and Sonic DLA Drive Letter Access Component Module and Sonic DLA Direct Access Component Module, If you shut down tfsndres.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tfsndres.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sonic DLA and Sonic DLA Drive Letter Access Component Module and Sonic DLA Direct Access Component Module, from your system.
