The TextPad application of Helios Software Solutions consists of an executable file of the same name, the textpad.exe file. TextPad is similar to Microsoft Word and Notepad. However, TextPad has its unique characteristics and text.exe executes these characteristics to help users do programming activities. The application only requires minimal space in the hard drive. However, its main features include several activities which users can perform. Text.exe enables the software to maintain block indents, to perform automatic code indentation, regular expression based search and replace, macro recording to transform complex texts and data processing and syntax highlighting, to call external programs, to provide large file support, clip libraries, clipboard history and block select mode, to help edit multiple files, to synchronize scrolling of files, and to bookmark lines to enable user to copy lines and paste them on another file. TextPad is a text editor used to edit web pages and as a programming IDE.
