The taskmanager.exe process is an executable file and a component of Mediaware Task Manager software, which is a product created by Mediaware. The program Mediaware Task Manager composes three different utilities, namely the Process Explorer, the Startup Explorer, and the Lancher. The Process Explorer has the function to provide detailed information about processes and programs running in the system, which allows a user to find applications that he or she wants to remove. The Startup Explorer is more for security because it gives an overview regarding services and programs that are launched during startup of the Windows, offers a way to control which applications to stop from automatically executing, and notifies the computer user if any program is registered for automatic loading during startup. The other utility of Mediaware Task Manager is the Launcher, which functions to enable fast hotkey access to any applications bookmarked as favorite. As a part of the software Mediaware Task Manager, taskmanager.exe process must not be removed from the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. taskmanager.exe. is used by Mediaware Task Manager , If you shut down taskmanager.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
