The process tappsrv.exe also known as TOSHIBA TAPPSRV belongs to Toshiba Application Service by TOSHIBA. It provides additional configuration options. It is a system file of Toshiba hardware computers and you can find it running in the Task Manager as the process tappsrv.exe. It is a service daemon preinstalled on Toshiba notebooks. It controls every thing within the Toshiba software interface such as Toshiba Networking, Utilities, devices, laptops, peripherals and etc. tappsrv.exe is a hidden file usually located in the c:\program files\toshiba\toshiba applet\tappsrv.exe sub-folder and its usual size is 34,816 bytes. This process can affect the following operating systems: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. tappsrv.exe is not a Window core file and is not visible. This is considered to be a safe process but if this process is causing trouble on your computer system, you may remove or uninstall it from the Control Panel Add/Remove programs.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tappsrv.exe. is used by Toshiba Application Services, If you shut down tappsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tappsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Toshiba Application Services, from your system.
