The symscui.exe process is an executable file packaged with the other EXE program files, SYS driver files and DLL modules among various associated components that are required by the Norton Security Center software. This is a Windows application classified as a built-in program integrated into other system security tools that are designed by Symantec with a set of functionalities for monitoring, detecting and protecting Windows-based systems against hacker attacks, Internet threats and malicious applications like spyware, viruses, worms and Trojans among other programs that can compromise the data security and system stability of the infected computer. The symscui.exe process is specifically deployed as a main component of the Norton Security Center User Interface Helper module, which is an applet implemented into the Norton Security Center program. The symscui.exe process is included in the installer distributions of the Norton Security Center software and its associated Symantec system security tools, which also means the symscui.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Norton Security Center program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. symscui.exe. is used by Norton Security Center, If you shut down symscui.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop symscui.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Norton Security Center, from your system.
