The srscandr.exe process is an executable component file bundled with the modular DLL files, system drivers and other program files that are required by the firmware and driver software components of certain scanning and copying machines from Ricoh. The srscandr.exe process is specifically deployed as among the main components of the ScanRouter Service module, which is an applet integrated into the firmware and driver software resources of certain Ricoh scanners and copying machines. The srscandr.exe process is implemented into the installer distribution packages of these Ricoh firmware and driver software components, which means the srscandr.exe process is integrated into the system upon the successful installation of these Ricoh firmware and driver software resources. The srscandr.exe process along with these Ricoh firmware and driver software components are embedded with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The ScanRouter Service Driver module of these Ricoh firmware and driver software components is responsible for facilitating the data transmissions between the copier and the system, in order for the device to scan documents, save it in the format selected by the user and store the scanned images in any directory of the Windows-based system as requested by the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. srscandr.exe. is used by Ricoh ScanRouter Service Module, If you shut down srscandr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop srscandr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ricoh ScanRouter Service Module, from your system.
