What is softosd.exe
Known by the service name softOSD Service, the softosd.exe file is a component of the program softOSD Client, or simple called softOSD, which is a software product created by EnTech Taiwan. This file or softOSD Service is developed for Display Data Channel (DDC) or CI Communication, which is a set of digital communication protocols between a graphics adapter and a computer display, used to enable the latter to communicate the different modes it support to the former, and to allow the host system to make adjustment of the monitor parameters, like contrast, brightness, and saturation. When the softOSD Client software is installed on the computer, the softOSD Service file, or softosd.exe, is also downloaded on the system, and executed to run in the background. The absence of this particular module can cause the launching of softOSD Client unsuccessfully. Thus, the softosd.exe process should remain stored and running on the computer system.
