The process SetRefresh is usually already pre-installed in HP laptops via the file setrefresh.exe. According to users’ reviews and comments regarding the file, it appears to function as a monitor optimizer, providing a utility to control screen resolution. This is a non-system file which means that it is not essential to system performance. However, if the file came pre-installed on your HP machine, it is best to keep the file installed. You may disable it instead if you do not want it running in the background. The file is generally considered as a safe file to have on the PC, unless it has already been modified by a virus.
