What is  rtenicxp.sys

The rtenicxp.sys process is a driver file and a component of Realtek Driver, which includes the versions 10, 100, and 1000 NIC Family all in one NDIS Driver, as well as 10, 100, and 1000 NIC Family all in one NDIS XP Driver, a series of software products developed and offered by Realtek Semiconductor. These Realtek Driver program are used in Windows computers. Furthermore, the rtenicxp.sys file has a digital signature from Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher, using Microsoft Time-Stamp Service. To enable the software associated with the file, rtenicxp.sys must remain stored on the folder location, usually in C:\Program Files or C:\Documents and Settings, once it is installed on the computer system, and kept running in the background. Otherwise, the program is also disabled and won’t provide any functions, which the user expects when he or she tries to load it. It is also possible that other modules bundled in the software may call for the rtenicxp.sys file for execution.
