The file rsd.exe is an executable file known to be related to a spyware. Although it could be related to spyware, this process is an important component in running applications and other programs on the computer. This process is named RS Downloader, a file developed by Schneewiesel. RS Downloader is a freeware that can be downloaded by any user without any cost from the internet. Its main task is to download files from the internet to its download manager interface. With the RS Downloader software, users can create their own downloads list for easy management. Things this download manager can do are download files, movies, audios, games, and office stuff. This is a tool that works for both business and non-business individuals. When using a Windows 7 or Windows Vista operating system, users have to run the downloader as administrator in order to have it installed or run properly.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. rsd.exe. is used by RS Downloader, If you shut down rsd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop rsd.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is RS Downloader, from your system.
