Remote application process called rmgui.exe is a process that is officially owned by ScriptLogic Corporation which is a Remote Support Manger Software. This software can be usually found in C:\Program Files which has a known size of 489,392 bytes. But these sizes will vary depending on the operating system used. This program possessed no visible window. Rmgui.exe is Verisign signed file which means that this file is a trusted software of the Microsoft Corporation software. The process is start automatically when the Operating System starts and has the registry key of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This does not belong to the Windows system file. This program has the ability to listen on open ports in the Local Area Network (LAN) as well as the internet and has the ability send data on open ports in the Local Area Network (LAN) and to receive data in the internet. The software can be easily removed by using the Add/Remove utility located in the Control Panel of the Microsoft Window Operating System.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. rmgui.exe. is used by ScrptLogic, If you shut down rmgui.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop rmgui.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ScrptLogic, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
