The Thomson Reuters Messenger is an instant messaging tool and real time collaboration service designed for financial professionals. The application enables financial professionals to participate in a focused and authenticated community of financial professionals, colleagues, customers, and business counterparts worldwide. The application has a dynamic directory of financial professionals that users of the application can communicate with, to find relevant business contacts and control access to personal and business information. It has a single window with a dashboard view that enables users to monitor emails, instant messages, and activities from various chat rooms. The topic-based chat rooms facilitate discussion of trade details and strategies with industry experts. Users of the application are assured of the security of communications through encryption of all messages before transmission.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. rmc.exe. is used by Thomson Reuters Messenger, If you shut down rmc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop rmc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Thomson Reuters Messenger, from your system.
