Owned and developed in 2000 by the SoftThinks Corporation, the remind_xp.exe file application is a reminder feature intended for the users of the SoftThinks DVD/CD Creator software when its installation process has completed. The program runs in approximately 648-kilobyte of memory and allows the user to apply information simply by utilizing the burning function without the use of high-end CDs or DVDs. The remind_xp.exe process flashes an on-screen reminder prompting the user’s approval of the SoftThinks DVD/CD Creator software installation completion. SoftThinks DVD/CD Creator supports recovery setups from all resources, and is widely recognized by modern system technologies. Softthink’s remind_xp.exe, with its additional service of memory expansion, has a high-capacity support for upgrading or reformatting the computer system, customization of personal setups, installing additional programs, or reinstalling the operating system itself, with its newly-loaded programs and driver tools for the system hardware. It is very safe to use as it has no known or reported security issues.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. remind_xp.exe. is used by SoftThinks DVD/CD , If you shut down remind_xp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
