What is  regbootclean.exe

The regbootclean.exe file is the executable process for DCERegBootClean, a system protection software developed by Trend Micro Incorporated. RegBootClean.exe provides a platform for cleaning the registry when the computer reboots. After running a quarantine on some malware, DCERegBootClean reboots and forces RegBootClean.exe to execute once. Trend Micro Incorporated is a Japanese company that manufactures and distributes Trend Micro Internet Security software tools, products and services to large-scale businesses. RegBootClean.exe loads upon system startup, and is located in the C:\Windows\RegBootClean.exe folder in Windows registry. It launches the service and background process everytime the user logs in to the Windows. After the RegBootClean.exe process launches for the first time, the entry gets removed from Registry so that it would not run again to alter the loaded program. The RegBootClean.exe application is designed for use primarily by the Windows setup programs. By default settings, RegBootClean.exe resides in the C:\Windows\RegBootClean.exe folder, and is compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate operating system version.
