The process file recvmessage.exe has a description or another name called RecvMessage MFC Application. The software associated to this process file is RecvMessage Application. The recvmessage.exe file has been found in several locations on a computer but it is normally on the C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows folder. The file can be a suspected malware that is disguised under the same file name recvmessage.exe if found in other locations other than the normal location mentioned above. Although there have been no alerts as to whether this file is harmful to the system or not, this file is already rated risky at 80%. This program automatically boots up with the booting up process of the Windows computer and that using the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This program tends to run in the background without a visible window that would tell the operator of its activity. It can be found in computers with Windows operating systems.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. recvmessage.exe. is used by RecvMessage Application, If you shut down recvmessage.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop recvmessage.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is RecvMessage Application, from your system.
