What is  ramasst.exe

The ramasst.exe file is the executable process for the RAMAsst Application, a software developed by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. for the CD burning and DVD disabling and multi-drive functionalities for Windows XP. Ramasst.exe comes as a built-in program with the installation of most disk drives. Ramasst.exe has the ability to disable disk-burning functionality when there are compatibility issues in the operating system. Ramasst.exe is usually located in the C:\Windows\System3 folder, and is normally installed during the driver setup process and other disk drive processes. The RAMAsst.exe file does not contain harmful content not it negatively affects in any way. There are even available walk-throughs for restoring Windows XP properties. Thus, it is not recommended that this file be disabled or removed as doing so may cause system errors or malfunction of some programs or prevent them from running properly. Should there be any errors in using the program, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver would most likely resolve the issue.
