The pdvd11serv.exe process launches the CyberLink Power DVD application. The EXE file can call on the functionalities of the application once it begins to run in the background. PowerDVD is manufactured by Cyberlink. The software is installed in the computer with the hardware device. The EXE file allows the user to control the features of the software which can make the device work efficiently. PowerDVD has advanced 3D support and its playback controls are enhanced. It also offers tools to organize all of files across media devices. The pdvd11serv.exe file can make one computer become a server for all media files of the user. Then the user can remotely browse and play the files. Aside from its capability to play DVDs Blu-ray discs and a number of video file formats, the features of PowerDVD include playlists, ability to zoom in on videos, and conversion from 2D to 3D for Blu-ray discs.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pdvd11serv.exe. is used by CyberLink PowerDVD, If you shut down pdvd11serv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pdvd11serv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CyberLink PowerDVD, from your system.
