This means the pcmmediasharing.exe process is packaged with the firmware and driver software components of these supported Acer laptops and devices, and the pcmmediasharing.exe file is also installed in the system alongside those firmware and driver software resources. The pcmmediasharing.exe process is specifically implemented as the Acer Home Media Connect software, which is a program that is built into some Acer laptops and devices. The pcmmediasharing.exe file, when activated by associated Acer firmware and driver software components, calls on other program files and references required modular system and application-specific resources, in order to help those Acer firmware and driver software components in loading the Acer Home Media Connect software unto the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pcmmediasharing.exe. is used by Acer Home Media Connect, If you shut down pcmmediasharing.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pcmmediasharing.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer Home Media Connect, from your system.
