The pchooklaunch32.exe process is the executable file for BitDefender, an antivirus software developed by Softwin, a Romanian software company. The current Home Office Security Suite version includes antivirus, firewall, anti-spyware, backup, tune-up, e-mail spam filtering, and parental control programs. The Bitdefender protects devices and computers from all types of viruses and spyware. Compared to the commercial version, Bitdefender’s free tools offer the on-demand virus scan features and does not include real time scanning, which may not be suitable for machines that have continuous Internet connection.
