The software ARO 2012 is a repair and optimization utility that helps to improve and maintain computers that run in the Windows operating system. It focuses on errors that hide in the windows registry, identifying PC and Web clutter that may be hindering PC performance. This application also ensures that security solutions are installed in the computer, and that these are maintained up to date. ARO has an advanced scanning engine that conducts deep scans to identify and repair registry errors. Junk files that accumulate over time and reduce PC performance are removed from the registry. The three main systems scanned by ARO are the registry, junk, and security files. In the registry scan, 13 areas are analyzed for errors and the program identifies possible registry tweaks that can improve PC performance. The junk scan checks 10 areas of the PC to remove extraneous files such as temporary internet files and junk accumulated from Web browsers to free disk space. The baseline security scan is done to confirm the availability of updated security software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. o.exe. is used by ARO 2012, If you shut down o.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop o.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ARO 2012, from your system.
