The npkcmsvc.exe process is an executable component file deployed by the NProtect KeyCrypt software as one of its program files and modules. The NProtect KeyCrypt application is a program that can monitor and detect keylogging activity in the system that may be implemented by certain malicious programs like spyware applications, viruses, Trojans and backdoor rootkits. The NProtect KeyCrypt software is also integrated with a set of functionalities for encrypting keyboard inputs in order to prevent malicious keylogging applications to collect keyboard inputs without the user's consent. The npkcmsvc.exe file is specifically implemented as an executable component process of the NProtect KeyCrypt Manager Service module, which is required by the NProtect KeyCrypt software to perform some of its intended operations as requested by the system and the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. npkcmsvc.exe. is used by NProtect KeyCrypt and NProtect KeyCrypt Manager Service Module, If you shut down npkcmsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop npkcmsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NProtect KeyCrypt and NProtect KeyCrypt Manager Service Module, from your system.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
