The netman.dll module is the file driver for Network Connections Manager, the control mechanisms of a network connection managed by the system host. Netman.dll maintains that the network connections are intact. Netman.dll handles different network connections, such as Virtual Private Network (VPN), Local Area Network (LAN), Dial-Up Networking (DUN), Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM). • The Virtual Private Network separates and regulates the traffic throughout the network through the netman.dll. • Local Area Network encases the group of interconnected computers within a particular environment using the Ethernet and the Internet. • Dial-Up Networking connects the network by a modem. Through the configuration in the netman.dll module, the user is provided Internet connection. • Integrated Services Digital Network is the regulated communication for sending and receiving voice, video, and data to and from digital lines or wires. • The Asynchronous Transfer Mode connects all hardware via a packet of switched network that serves as the highway for all communication from end to end.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. netman.dll. is used by Windows OS, If you shut down netman.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop netman.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Windows OS, from your system.
