Whenever the user connects to a proxy server, in order to procure a file or resource or access a website, the proxy server evaluates the request and processes it in the most efficient way. Proxy servers, however, have more uses and benefits than that. Web proxy servers can protect the user's privacy by hiding the user's IP address and issuing a different one.
