The process mwaser.exe is a part of the program eScan Service Controller. It is licensed by MicroWorld Technologies, Inc. from India. This is one process file that launches the Desktop Security Suite from MicroWorld. This component is the Service Controller and deals with the customization of the Security Suite. Since the program is a holistic Security Suite that deals with all aspects of the desktop, a service controller is required so the user can regulate the degree of protection. The Service Controller allows the user to take the reins of such features such as Firewall settings. This is vital because if the user cannot control the settings according to his preferences, the system will not allow him to download files even if they are executed by the user himself. Service Controller may also disable repeated dialog boxes, which can be annoying. The Security Suite does not limit itself to downloading functions. The user can also control the settings for emails, attachments, pop-ups and image displays from various sites.
