The process msohelp.exe is an executable program from the application Microsoft Office 2003 from Microsoft. Microsoft Office is a suite of desktop applications, services, and servers for the Microsoft Windows and OS X operating systems. The first version is a set of bundled applications that contained the desktop applications Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program for Windows and OS X that is used to create slideshows, composed of graphics, text, and other objects that can be displayed on-screen. Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that is available for Windows and OS X, and Microsoft Word is a word processor that was considered the main program in Office. The other desktop programs available from Office are Microsoft Outlook, a personal information manager and email communication software, and Microsoft Entourage, a version of Outlook for Mac OS.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msohelp.exe. is used by Microsoft Office, If you shut down msohelp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msohelp.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Office, from your system.
