The msiservice.exe process is an executable component file of the firmware distributions and device driver software utilities that are bundled with certain MSI motherboards. The MSI System Control Manager is one of these bundled applications, and this program deploys the msiservice.exe file as one of its executable components that operates as a background process whenever the MSI System Control Manager software is actively running in the system. The MSI System Control Manaeger program was developed with a set of embedded functionalities for monitoring the status of associated MSI motherboard devices and for updating the firmware and driver software utilities of these MSI motherboard components. The msiservice.exe process is included as one of the resource files and libraries bundled into the installer distribution packages of these MSI motherboard firmware and drivers, which means the msiservice.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the MSI System Control Manager software along with these MSI motherboard drivers and firmware components.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msiservice.exe. is used by MSI System Control Manager, If you shut down msiservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msiservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MSI System Control Manager, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as MSI System Control Manager, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application.
