What is  lxddmon.exe

If you have a Lexmark printer connected to your PC, you will need the file lxddmon.exe, because this is the file that your system uses to communicate with your device. Disabling the file will limit the functions of your printer, or prevent it from running altogether. The file’s general location on disk is C:\Program Files\Lexmark 2500 Series\lxddmon.exe. Standard file size is 284.9 KB. The file will launch upon startup but will not run in the background, so you can keep it enabled. The application will only launch when invoked by the user. As far as users’ experiences go, the file was never detected by AV programs as a bad file. There have likewise been no reports of the file being used by malware to attack your registry keys, or override legitimate processes. In addition to these, the file has not been reported as CPU-intensive even while in active use. Simultaneous printing jobs however, may cause CPU speed to slow down.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lxddmon.exe. is used by Device Monitor, If you shut down lxddmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lxddmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Device Monitor, from your system.
