The lxcgcoms.exe file is an executable application process that is used by the Printer Communication System module and is placed in the Windows-based system upon the installation of associated firmware distributions and device driver software packages of supported Lexmark printers. The Printer Communication System module, which is an applet bundled with certain Lexmark printing devices as part of its firmware utilities and driver software components, is specifically deployed to implement communication functionalities between the Windows-based system where the associated Lexmark printer is connected to, other network computers and the Lexmark printing device. The lxcgcoms.exe process is integrated along with the Printer Communication System module and its other components into the installer distributions of the firmware utilities and driver software resources of these compatible Lexmark printer models. The lxcgcoms.exe process and the Printer Communication System module are specifically deployed to embed data transmission monitoring functionalities into the system for streamlining communications between the system, associated firmware resources and drivers, networked computers and the Lexmark printing device.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lxcgcoms.exe. is used by Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Communication System Module and Printer Communication System Module, If you shut down lxcgcoms.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lxcgcoms.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Communication System Module and Printer Communication System Module, from your system.
