It is Windows file that originated from the installation of the application Sentinel License Manager. As a non-system process, it is not involved in running the computer's operating system but is vital for the loading and processing of the settings for the Sentinel License Manager (LM). It is functional in installing the license server service, starting or stopping the service, setting various license server options, and obtaining the license server status. Sentinel LM is an application that can be used to enforce the terms of server license agreements. This program employs a system fingerprinting capability that enables its clients to implement custom and standard locking criteria for every licensed server user. It can be deployed with networked or standalone applications and supports pay-per-use, feature based, lease or rent, and many other license management models.
