What is  login.exe

The process login.exe, also called cbkhdlr, belongs to the application Timbuktu Pro from Netopia, Inc. This executable process launches the application that is a remote control solution for Windows and Macintosh. Once the application is launched, the user can control another computer in the Internet or across a local network. The user can view the screen and use the keyboard of the remote computer, as if that computer is right in front of him. It enables the user to see what is being done on the remote computer, take over the computing tasks by using its keyboard and mouse, or communicate with the other operator by using the chat window or flash notes. In addition to the remote control or screen-sharing capability, it also allows system profiling, file sharing, remote activity notifications, and voice and text chat. For additional user security, Timbuktu has integrated support for Secure Shell (ssh) tunneling. The connections for versions 5.1 and earlier is initiated over UDP port 407, while versions 5.2 and later use the TCP port 407.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. login.exe. is used by Timbuktu Pro, If you shut down login.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
