The lockserv.exe process is an executable component file of the firmware utilities and device driver software resources that are implemented into certain Acer laptop and desktop computer models. These Acer laptops and desktops are equipped with motherboards that are integrated with certain chipsets and devices from various product manufacturers. These hardware components and devices require machine code and system drivers, in order to correctly communicate with the Windows system. This is why the lockserv.exe process is distributed alongside SYS driver utilities that are intended for particular Windows OS versions, among other EXE program files, modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) resources, particular background process items and other components like bundled applications that are integrated into the installer distributions of these Acer firmware utilities and driver software packages. This also means the lockserv.exe process and these other files and resource libraries are implemented into the system upon the installation of these Acer driver software components and firmware distributions.
