Blackberry Desktop Software has a loader.exe file that serves as a tool for Windows-run computers to retrieve data from Blackberry smartphones. The file is only compatible with Windows computers. There is a different version for other Operating Systems. Basically, when a Blackberry smartphone is connected to a computer, the loader.exe file can be used to retrieve specific information from the phone. Aside from data retrieval, the user can also store the phone’s event log onto the computer, reset the phone to its original factory settings, and manipulate the phone’s radio. Users may also check what other modules are included in their phone via the directory command line. There have been incidents cited by users that there is a version of the file loader.exe is a security threat, acting as spyware to manipulate Web browsers and search engines. If a loader.exe error message is displayed, and the user has not installed the Blackberry Desktop Software, the file could possibly be the spyware version.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. loader.exe. is used by Blackberry Desktop Manager, If you shut down loader.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop loader.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Blackberry Desktop Manager, from your system.
