The lmpdpsrv.exe process is an executable program file that is used by the firmware utilities and driver software packages bundled with certain Lexmark printer models. The lmpdpsrv.exe process is specifically deployed as a component of a module that is built into these Lexmark printer firmware distributions and driver software utilities, and this module is responsible for implementing remote and local network sharing functionalities into the Windows-based system for the associated networked Lexmark printing device. The lmpdpsrv.exe process is configured by default to automatically run during system startup and operate as a background process during system runtime during the installation process for these Lexmark printer firmware components and device driver software distributions. These default configurations can be changed by the user, in case Lexmark printer network sharing functionalities are not required to be implemented into the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lmpdpsrv.exe. is used by Lexmark Printer Network Sharing Module, If you shut down lmpdpsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lmpdpsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Printer Network Sharing Module, from your system.
