The liveupdt.exe process is an executable file for Windows, called as LiveUpdt MFC Application, and a part of ASUS Live Update, which is a program created by ASUSTeK Computer. The liveupdt.exe file is an essential component because it makes up the software ASUS Live Update functional. The program associated with the file is used to perform BIOS updates and provide found or collected information to the user, who can check updates of device drivers and applications that he or she may download. The ASUS Live Update software is designed to give automatic updates, but a user can schedule updates, whether daily, every other day, weekly, or monthly, depending on what he or she prefers. Deleting or stopping the liveupdt.exe file that processes the function to provide updates is going to disable the software. This file must be remain running in the background if the user still needs to have updates of applications for his or her PC.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. liveupdt.exe. is used by ASUS Live Update, If you shut down liveupdt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop liveupdt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ASUS Live Update, from your system.
