The lhidke.sys process is a system driver file that is used by both Microsoft Windows and the associated firmware or driver software component of the Logitech mouse device, in order to implement the embedded functionalities of the Logitech mouse device and its associated firmware distributions and driver software components into the Windows-based system. The lhidke.sys process is specifically deployed as a major SYS driver utility component of the Logitech HID Filter Driver module, which is an applet built into the Logitech SetPoint HID Mouse Filter Driver utility. The lhidke.sys file is distributed alongside other SYS driver utilities, some executable application resources, specific background process items and certain modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files among other components that are used and referenced by the Logitech SetPoint software, these Logitech mouse driver modules and other associated Logitech firmware distributions and driver software utilities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lhidke.sys. is used by Logitech SetPoint HID Mouse Filter Driver and Logitech HID Filter Driver, If you shut down lhidke.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lhidke.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Logitech SetPoint HID Mouse Filter Driver and Logitech HID Filter Driver, from your system.
