Known by the service name Logitech HID Filter Driver, the process lhidfilt.sys is an instance of a driver file, and is a component of the software Logitech SetPoint, also referred to as Logitech SetPoint KMDF HID Filter Driver, or Logicool SetPoint KMDF HID Filter Driver, which is developed by Logitech Inc. This file is not just an essential part of the software that houses it, but also a digitally signed process (Logitech - Symantec Time Stamping Services Signer - G3), and it is advisable to remain stored and running in the background. With that said, lhidfilt.sys is a process that must not be terminated, stopped or deleted at all, but continuously running as a background service. Other than that, lhidfilt.sys is a driver file that is compatible with most or all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, simply called as Windows operating system or Windows OS, and include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lhidfilt.sys. is used by Logitech SetPoint or Logicool SetPoint KMDF HID Filter Driver or Logitech SetPoint KMDF HID Filter Driver, If you shut down lhidfilt.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
