The lf.exe file is an executable component program resource of the LaunchOnFly software, which is a Windows program classified as an alternative tool for the Start Menu and a hotkey management application that was developed by Arturs Sits. The lf.exe process is distributed alongside other EXE program files, certain SYS driver utilities, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various components that are used and referenced by the LaunchOnFly program. This means the lf.exe file and these other component application resources are integrated into the system upon the installation of the LaunchOnFly program, which also means the lf.exe process is bundled into the installer distributions of the LaunchOnFly application. The lf.exe process and the LaunchOnFly program are embedded with support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lf.exe. is used by Arturs Sits LaunchOnFly, If you shut down lf.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lf.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Arturs Sits LaunchOnFly, from your system.
