The launchap.exe process is an executable component file of the Acer Launch Manager software and operates as a background process during system runtime, in order to monitor and implement the functionalities of the hotkey and special key features of associated Acer laptop models. The launchap.exe process is also configured upon the installation of the Acer Launch Manager software to automatically initialize during system startup, in order for the programmable hotkey and special key functions of the Acer laptop to be implemented into the Windows-based system. This means the launchap.exe process is a major component of the Acer Launch Manager software and is distributed alongside other executable program files, certain SYS driver utilities, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various components that are used and referenced by the Acer Lanch Manager and the firmware distributions and device driver software packages of associated Acer laptops.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. launchap.exe. is used by Acer Launch Manager, If you shut down launchap.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop launchap.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer Launch Manager, from your system.
