The jrservice.exe process is an executable program file that belongs to the resource components used by the JRiver Media Center software. This means the jrservice.exe process works alongside other EXE application resources, modular Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files, certain SYS driver utilities, particular background and system process items among various components, in order to implement the multimedia playback/display and optimization functionalities of the JRiver Media Center software into the Windows-based system. This also means the jrservice.exe file and most of these resource components are placed in the system upon the installation of the JRiver Media Center application, which also means the jrservice.exe process is bundled into the installer distribution packages of the JRiver Media Center software. The jrservice.exe process is specifically deployed by the JRiver Media Center program as one of the components of its built-in JRiver Service module.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. jrservice.exe. is used by JRiver Media Center and JRiver Service Module, If you shut down jrservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop jrservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is JRiver Media Center and JRiver Service Module, from your system.
