SCSI Port Upper Filter Driver is the service name of the driver process termed as jgogo.sys, and one of the components of the program known as JMicron Hot-Plug Driver, which is a product created by JMicron. As its name suggests, jgogo.sys is a driver file for Windows computers and laptops, that when the software that houses it is installed on the system, this module is also downloaded, stored on a file folder location, mostly in C:\Program Files, or C:\Documents and Settings, and start to run in the background upon successful installation, or at the startup of the Windows. Regardless of its specific function when downloaded onto the computer, jgogo.sys is essential that needs to be kept around and continue to run. Otherwise, it can disable the entire program JMicron Hot-Plug Driver, or parts of its functions, including the execution of other vital processes in the software. That is why this must not be terminated, stopped or deleted at all, unless it is causing problems within the program, or in the computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. jgogo.sys. is used by JMicron Hot-Plug Driver, If you shut down jgogo.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop jgogo.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is JMicron Hot-Plug Driver, from your system.
