The ivpsvmgr.exe process is an executable file that belongs to the program files and modules of Toshiba Multimedia, which is an application that is packaged with the firmware and driver software components of Toshiba laptops and devices. Also known as Toshiba IVP Service Manager, the ivpsvmgr.exe process initializes the Toshiba Multimedia applet whenever the system or the user requests for some of the functionalities integrated into this software. The Toshiba Multimedia application facilitates all firmware and driver software updates or upgrades in the supported Toshiba laptop or device, ensuring that updates and upgrades are automatically downloaded and installed upon user consent. The ivpsvmgr.exe process contains sequential lines of commands and program-specific directives that are used and referenced by the Toshiba Multimedia software whenever it needs to alert the user of available firmware and driver software updates that cna be downloaded and installed into the system. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ivpsvmgr.exe. is used by Toshiba Multimedia, If you shut down ivpsvmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ivpsvmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Toshiba Multimedia, from your system.
