The iteraid.sys process is a system driver utility component of Microsoft Windows, and this system driver file is used in conjunction with some executable application resources, certain modular system DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files, other SYS driver files, specific system and background process items and various components for implementing ATA RAID and SCSI miniport functionalities and compatibility support into Windows-based computers. The iteraid.sys file is specifically deployed as a resource process of the ITE IT8212 ATA RAID SCSI Miniport Driver module, which is built into widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The iteraid.sys file is placed in the system alongside these other component files and resources upon the installation of Microsoft Windows and its system driver utilities. This also means the iteraid.sys file is packaged into the installer distributions of Microsoft Windows and is unloaded unto the selected system partition of the computer during the installation process of Microsoft Windows.
