Microsoft provides updates for its security applications for its operating systems. Microsoft does this by offering program downloads they call as patches. When the user downloads these programs, they install parts of the code that will repair the software glitches or security weaknesses. Microsoft Windows does these updates automatically. An individual identification code is issued to each patch to reference data regarding the type of the update. IBM Global Services has developed the WWGPE Tool software which uses the process issimsyc.exe. The issimsyc.exe file is also known as the ISSI EZUpdate Service process. The process is a non-system file that comes with the WWGPE Tool software that the user can install in his or her computer system. It runs in the background as seen in the Task Bar. Issimsyc.exe enables IBM Global Services to perform automatic updating of software and Microsoft patching. So as long as the user allows issimsyc.exe to run in the system, the software can continue to provide the services.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. issimsvc.exe. is used by WWGE Tool, If you shut down issimsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop issimsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is WWGE Tool, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as WWGE Tool, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
