The ipe40.exe process is an EXE program file used by the Ulead Photo Express software alongside other component resources that are distributed with the ipe40.exe process, such as other executable application processes, certain modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files, certain SYS driver utilities and specific background process items among various components. The ipe40.exe file and these component resources are placed in the system upon the installation of the Ulead Photo Express software, which also means the ipe40.exe process and these other files are packaged into the installer distributions of the Ulead Photo Express application. This software is classified as a digital photo editing program for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ipe40.exe. is used by Ulead Photo Express, If you shut down ipe40.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ipe40.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ulead Photo Express, from your system.
