What is  inputpersonalization.exe

The inputpersonalization.exe process is also known as the Input Personalization Server and it is owned by Microsoft Corporation. It belongs to the Microsoft Windows operating system. The Input Personalization Server is a process that is found on the Tablet PCs that is operated in Windows Vista. The user either has the Handwriting Recognition Personalization Tool (or the Input Personalization, which is a Handwriting Recognizer) currently open and is therefore training his Tablet PC to be able to be familiar with his or her handwriting, or the user is currently inputting free-hand text on his or her Tablet PC and the Input Personalization is running within the background, thus converting the user’s handwriting into “machine understandable text.” The Input Personalization is a running program and is executed with the privileges as the currently logged in user account. It is operated by the process Host Process for Windows Services (by Microsoft). This program is considered to be convenient by the users and can be essential for the user’s computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. inputpersonalization.exe. is used by Input Personalization, If you shut down inputpersonalization.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
