What is  ini.exe

The ini.exe process is an EXE file that has been reported by many users as a malicious program associated with the Trojan-Spy.Win32.Insain.aev family of Trojans. The same user reports claim that the ini.exe process can search for system vulnerabilities and hijack unsecure TCP/IP network ports of the infected Windows-based system, in order to initiate contact with remote servers that are owned and managed by the authors of the ini.exe Trojan. These users state that the ini.exe process, upon its successful placement and activation in the system, can create keys and entries that it can then inject into the Windows System Registry. These malicious registry keys and entries allow the ini.exe process to automatically initialize during system startup and operate in the background of the infected system without user consent, according to a few users.
