Developed by PC Pitstop LLC, infocenter.exe is the process file InfoCenter, a security software that offers protection against online threats. InfoCenter is regularly updated to the latest edition, and includes useful extras to its product line such as Web site ratings, spyware, malware and adware protection, and phishing alerts. Infocenter.exe is by default located in the C:\Program Files\PCPitstop\InfoCenter\InfoCenter.exe folder and it runs upon user log on in Windows. To detect spyware, infocenter.exe has detected several practices that can be useful in installing anti-spyware programs. Users can install web browsers other than Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are recommended. InfoCenter has firewalls that monitor the incoming and outgoing information in a network to provide protection from spyware and malware. It also provides large hosts file to prevent access to known malware and spyware-related websites, as harmful programs get installed through certain downloadable shareware programs. PC Pitstop recommends downloading programs and applications only from reputable and trusted sources to be safe from sources of attacks.
