The process imjpcmnt.exe, known as Microsoft Office IME, belongs to software Microsoft Office IME from Microsoft. Microsoft Office IME 2010 is a Microsoft Input Method Editor which is included in Microsoft Office 2010. It is offered to Office 2013 users on Windows 7 or Windows Server R2, and is offered for free to the users who have the Office license. This application features a Language Bar that appears by default in the upper right corner of the screen in the Office program, which is used to switch between languages. The IME that is a component of the Windows operating system allows users to enter characters and symbols, for example Japanese, Korean, or Chinese characters, which are not found in the keyboard input device. IME exists for all Asian languages that are based on the same general principles, but with some different details for each language. All IMEs will take the keystroke from a standard US Keyboard and process them as the user types the words. The application features a pre-edit window near the actual cursor position where the user can see the actual characters that have been typed.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. imjpcmnt.exe. is used by Microsoft Office IME, If you shut down imjpcmnt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop imjpcmnt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Office IME, from your system.
